The Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom FAQ/Walkthrough For the NES This document is Copyright 2001 Luis Vasquez (luisv@mediaone.net) Created on 5-27-2001 Updated on 7-07-2001 ================= TABLE OF CONTENTS ================= Introduction Section I. Object of the game Section II. Controls Section III. Enemies and other characters Section IV. Weapons Section V. Rules and miscellaneous items of the game Section VI. The waves Introduction. Hello, this is my first FAQ, so if it's not of high quality then you know why. This FAQ is incomplete. Also, I have no manual since I got this game used, so I had to make up most of the names of enemies and items. If you have any info/questions/corrections about this FAQ, then send 'em to me at luisv@mediaone.net . The formatting on this text file will be screwy looking because I had to use my old IBM PC/XT with WordPerfect 5 (ugh) to write it since that computer is by my NES, and I have to use my 300 mhz newer computer with WordPad (nothing else worked properly) for formatting and transferring. Sorry! Section I. Object of the game From what I gather, the object of the game is to save the kids who are scattered all throughout the levels. Although you are not required to save them all to end the level/wave, you get 10000 points for saving 'em all (100000=extra life) and you receive more items. There are two parts to each level; the area which I call the walking part (since all you really do is walk around and save kids) and the part with the mine cart (exaggerated mine cart scene from the movie). The view in both parts is from a diagonal birds eye view. Both parts are the same in gameplay, except the mine cart part obviously has mine carts which you ride in (very fun) and it has moving, dangerous, conveyor belts to keep you awake :) . You must find either the blue or brown key to exit the level and proceed to the next one. There is one key in each part of the level. Once you find the key, you can open one of two doors in the level to exit it. The brown key opens the door in the mine part, and the blue key opens the door in the walking part. The timer in the game (yeah, there's a timer) expires at different speeds depending on the level, but it always counts down from 99. Section II. Controls Sorta complicated at first, but not as hard as some PSX games :) Uj UO. While walking around, up moves Indy up, down goes down, left goes left, right goes right. To jump, press B. To use a weapon, press A while aiming in the direction you want to attack at. To select a weapon, hold down Select while pressing Up, Down, Left, or Right. Start pauses the game and show some stats. When you are in a mine cart, pressing left makes you go slower, while pressing right makes you go faster. Pressing up makes Indy tilt the mine cart up, and pressing down makes Indy tilt the mine cart down. To jump out of the mine cart, press B. BTW, the best way to jump left or right is to push Up/Left or Up/Right, that way Indy won't fall down a little when he lands and Indy stays at the same horizontal position as he was at. Section III. Enemies and other characters I don't know the names of the enemies, so I just made them up. Again, please correct me if the names I use are wrong. Also, all the enemies keep on spawning back when you kill them, so it's sometimes easier to just leave the enemies alone. Grunt: Just your standard issue grunt guy like many games have. They simply come at you and try to punch Indy which stuns him, and you lose control of Indy for a few seconds. During those few seconds, he may punch you some more which can cause you to fall off a cliff or something. If you have enough time, you can immediately whip him after you come out of your daze. They're pretty stupid, and have a tendency to jump into lava. Sword weilding Guy: This is a Grunt, Mark II. He acts just like a normal grunt. But this guy can kill with the sword he has. He'll punch you, then he'll take out his sword and stab Indy while Indy is stunned. Guy in a mine cart: These guys patrol the mine rails, and look out for you. In later levels, they throw bombs which stun you and really become a real threat. They're useful in that their mine carts can be stolen. When one comes whizzing by you, shoot/whip it and the guys in it will die, and it'll stop for a second during which you can hop in and take over. Sometimes when one is whizzing by you, it will crash, and then another one comes and it will crash etc. so you should move away from that area till you can nab one which doesn't repeatedly crash. Also, these guys are pretty dangerous if you let them follow you while your in a mine cart, since they will crash into you kamikaze style. Guy with a boulder: Instead of acting like a suicidal maniac running towards you, this guy just sits in the walls and pushes boulders down towards you. If the boulders hit a conveyor belt (explained later), then it stops for a few seconds. You cannot kill them, so you just have to avoid them. Sometimes they are useful too, since they stop the conveyor belts from moving. Spider: These jumping freaks of nature come at you a lot. They jump towards you, and make a high pitched noise. If they touch Uj UOyou, you get stunned and get moved a little. Not too harmful, unless you happen to be standing above some lava... Bat: These lil' things are annoying. They live in caves. You can identify them if you see some eyes looking out from a hole in the wall. Once they come out they usually fly off screen. They come back after a few seconds while making a high pitched tone, and proceed to crash into you which stuns and moves you. If you are near lava, you might fall in it. They are not too kill though, just whip/shoot/stab 'em. Magic Bat repellent glass thingy: This thing is usually around a bat cave. When you whip it, it makes a little worm looking thing come out of it which freezes bats in place (therefore making them whip fodder). Pretty useful thing... Scorpion: Like a Bat, it makes the same noise and harm that a bat does, but it walks. Like the Bat, it stuns you if you touch it or if it touches you. Snake: Obviously, this thing is bad. Since Indy hates snakes, it doesn't make things better :) . Just like a Scorpion, except not as dumb. Regular Lava: *sarcasm mode on* This stuff is pretty fun, and you should swim in it often. *sarcasm mode off* ;) Lava Pool/Destroyable Lava: This lava is like above. But this lava is the kind that you see on the trails in the levels. It can be crossed if there is a whip holder above it, or if you blow it up using a bomb. Lava monster: This alligatorish thing lives in lava. It doesn't really hurt you though. It's purpose in life is to give you a way to cross the lava. Just shoot/blow up/stab the lava monster while it's head is above the lava, and it'll die and float to the surface, thereby enabling you to walk on it's head. They can be annoying when trying to cross huge amounts of lava (IE: Wave 9), since they hardly appear much where you need them to appear. Spike thingy: I really don't know what the heck this is, but it pops out of the ground at quick intervals. It just stays there, and makes a clicking noise. They are usually placed on the bottom of ladders. They can be killed with bombs. More of a obsticle than a enemy. Breaks in track: In many mine cart tracks, there will be breaks in the track on the top or bottom of the track (left and right side from Indy's view). To avoid them, just press up while going over the break if it is on the bottom, and down if it is on the top. But some tracks lead to lava, so jump out. Kids: Well, I think they're kids from what the movie had in it. To save them, simply walk over them and they disappear. They leave behind items. Section IV. Weapons WHIP: Indy starts out with a whip which is your standard weapon. It has unlimited ammo. It is used for simply whipping enemies away from you, usually off the screen. It cannot kill any human enemies, but other enemies can be killed with it. It is also used for swinging. GUN: The gun can be collected from kids and ammo stashes. The gun has limited ammo. It can fire in 8 directions in the screen. It is hard to use in close combat, but useful when shooting enemies from far away. KNIFE: The knife can be collected from kids and ammo stashes. It is primiarily used for opening boarded up holes to collect bombs. The knife has somewhat limited ammo. If you just stand there using the knife on nothing, then you don't lose knives. But if you kill something with it or open a boarded up hole, then you lose ammo. BOMB: To find them, cut open those little boarded up holes that you see often by using a knife. Toss them at groups of people to kill 'em all. Their explosion also makes enemies duck for a half second, which can mean the difference between life and death. Section V. Rules and miscellaneous items of the game Ok, so you know all the enemies and weapons, now heres all the other miscellaneous items and stuff. Conveyor Belts: These make up most of the area in the mine parts of the game. They often move you to lava, so be careful. They sometimes move at intervals because of the boulders that some of the grunts throw down at you. Use this to your advantage. Mine Carts: Driving a mine cart is one of the most fun parts of the game (IMHO). All mine carts head to the right, there is no way to head left. To switch tracks, you need to push in the direction you want to go (up or down). If someone is on your tail, speed up or jump out, since they will ram you. You can also whip or shoot or stab them from the mine cart by aiming in their direction and pressing A. But with the knife, funny things happen while attacking when your inside a mine cart (messed up graphics, funny noise). While riding a mine cart, Indy can jump from it if you need to. Say your crusing along and then you see something you need to collect, or there is a break in the track. Just jump out to fall to the ground, but beware, sometimes you may fall in lava. After you get on a mine cart, the track leads to a exit if you go the right way. The exit puts you in the walking area of the game. Walking Area/Mine Cart area: To get to the walking area from the Cart area, go to a mine cart exit. It will put you in the Uj UOwalking area. To get to a mine cart area, go through a mine entrance in the walking area. It then puts you in a mine cart which you can jump out of or stay in. Each entrance and mine cart exit leads to certain mine exits and entrances on the other side. Mine exit: These look like monster heads, if you ride a mine cart through them, then you exit into the walking area. Slide: I really don't know what these are supposed to be (maybe an aquaduct?), but if you hop onto them, then Indy will slide down them. If there's a fork in the slide, then push which way you want to go. Sometimes they lead to the all too common lava death. You can go slower while going down them if you press up. Swing hook: These are little things that are usually over gaps and lava. They are there so Indy can swing on them using a whip. You can't avoid using them, since the first level requires you to learn how to swing on it. Masks: These faces are on the wall, and they need to be shot to be used. After you shoot them, they act like swing hooks. Some of them look like faces, while others look like animal skulls. Hats: The kids sometimes give you these. They give Indy a extra life. Arrows: The kids sometimes give you these when you save them. They point to secret warps. Oil: To light oil, hit it with a whip. It'll burn/kill everybody who goes near it on a track. Secret warps: To find them, throw a bomb where the arrow points to. It should appear and then you just walk through. Maps: I really can't remember what they're used for, I went to wave 10 once and I think I needed them to help guide me. My advice is to get them when you see them, but don't make them top priority. Level exits: These are different from mine exits and entrances. They look like doors, and if you have the appropriate key (brown key=mine door, blue key=walking area door). These lead to the next wave (level). Special Waves: There are special warp waves throughout the game. They can be accessed if you use a special Secret warp entrance. These special waves have multiple exits and some lead to different levels than others. Jewels: These are small diamonds that the kids sometimes give when you get them. They seem to only increase your score. Section VI. The waves You should be sure to collect/save all the kids if you want a high score (bleh) and if you want as many items as you can get AND a extra life thrown in for free (hmmm...). Yes, I know there are two exits to each level, but for the sake of a shorter and easier to read walkthrough, I'm writing the walkthrough using certain exits. Also, the walkthroughs that I explain are definetely not the only ways through the level, they're just the way I went. There are dozens of ways to get through the levels. Anyway, on to the walkthrough! Wave 1: You start off in front of a exit (walking part exit). Go left and save the kids (just walk over 'em) and they'll leave behind a knife and a gun (what are kids doing with guns?! :) ). Use the knife to open the little boarded up hole between them and collect the bombs. Go up the ladder and save more kids and collect a brown key and more knives, and cut open the other boarded up hole. Now use the whip to swing over the gap and save the other kid. He will leave a arrow which points up, right above him is a special warp. Blow up the flat wall above using a bomb to show the warp. That leads to wave S2 which I'll explain later on in the FAQ. Anyways, if you went through the mine entrance, then you will be in a mine cart. Jump out towards the top and collect all the kids, one will give you a blue key and another will give you a arrow. Again, that leads to wave S2. If you didn't go through, then hop to the bottom and collect all the kids, collect some bombs, and go in the mine cart. Then either exit through the door you started out by, or though the mine area's door. Wave 2: Collect the kid on the right, go down the ladder, and you'll see a grunt. He won't bother you much, but if he does, then whip him away from you. Also, there is a spike thingy there, just jump down or wait until it goes down (but you need fast reflexes for that). Then get the kid on the left and go back where you started and swing over the gap. Collect the kids and one will give you a brown key. Before you go to the mine cart area, make sure you collected all the bombs since this is a easy part to collect them. Go through the door at the bottom of the level and Indy will be in a mine cart. Now this is where it gets hard to describe where to go! Immediately jump out and Indy should fall to a conveyor belt with a piece of ground in the middle of it. Collect the kid on the right and go back to that piece of ground. Go down and collect the kid, but BEWARE of a grunt throwing boulders down towards you! Now, jump down from there (the kid you just saved), and Indy will land on another conveyor belt. You will find another kid with a key there, and a swing hook. Swing over and end the level if you wish, but if you want to save all the kids (which you should), then let the conveyor belt move you next to the swing hook. Wait for a mine cart to come by, and jump in it. Immediately press down and the cart will go down the other track, then jump down quickly after you pass the lava. You gotta do this fast so that you land on or by the kid. Jump down from that kid and Indy will land on another belt, and keep going right from there and you will find Uj UOthe last kid. Hop into another cart from there and let it lead you to the entrance to the walking area. Then just go up to where you began and that's that. Wave 3: If you took the exit out of the last level through the mine (the mine area's exit), then you should end up outside a door. Move quickly, or you might get crushed by a boulder. Walk on the conveyor belts to the kid above the door, and collect him. Next, collect the kid that is above and to the right of the one you just saved. Go to the right and get the kid above the three belts. Then hop down to the next kid and get a extra life (yay!). Go down the belt and get the next kid to get the brown key. Swing over the gap. To get rid of the lava pool, throw a bomb into it, perferably the middle since the bomb will destroy the whole lava pool if you throw it in the middle. If you missed or something, and you got two blocks of the lava, then you can jump over the left over lava block (press up left while jumping). Save the kid, BUT, right next to him is the hidden knife stash that the game tells you about while going into this level. It appears here and later in the level, you can decide when to get it. To make it appear, throw a bomb towards the wall (the flat wall on the ledge left of the kid), and just stand there and you'll get 'em all. Go back to where you started, and after a second or two, jump off the cart onto the ledge above (hold up while jumping). Collect the kid, but watch out for a boulder. Go up the belt, then left, and collect the two kids. The exit is there if you want to end the level, but to get all the kids, then go right, to the area with the animal skull and the kid over the gap. Shoot the skull to swing over the gap and get the kid. He'll give you the blue key. Now, hop off that ledge onto the one below (right above the track). If you didn't get the knife stash before, then throw a bomb to the left of where the kid was at. The knife stash will be there but if you already got it then it won't be there. Anyway, hop on a cart and go up (or you'll crash) and hop off to get the next kid. Hop onto a cart again and right before the break in the track, jump off the cart upwards. Get the kid and jump right to the ledge below, and get the other kid. He'll give you a extra life (yay!). Now you have two choices. You can either go back through the level in the cart and go to the mine's exit, or you can jump in a cart right here and go fast then quickly jump off forwards to reach the exit (that way is riskier but quicker). Wave 4: Indy will start off in front of the walking part's exit. Save the kid to your right and go up the ladder, then left, and save the kid above the two ladders. Then swing over and get the kid across the gap, and he'll give you the brown key. Go down the two ladders and blow up the lava in front of the kid either by aiming downright or getting on that small ledge and aiming right (don't worry, you can't kill the kids). Go left and save the kid by the slide thingy. He'll show a arrow pointing down. Toss a bomb below and you'll see a door appear. It leads to wave S5. If you don't take it, then go down the ladder and get the kid next to it. Go left and save the next kid, go down, then Uj UOright and get the next kid (most of the kids around here give you arrows pointing to the S5 warp, guess they don't want you to save the rest of the kids :) ). Anyways, go down your first super happy fun slide, down the ladder, right, and go into the mine entrance. BTW, this is the first level where the mine carts have grunts in 'em, so you gotta whip or shoot them to get 'em out of them. Immediately go up, up, straight, then jump off onto the conveyor belt below. Go down, save the two kids, go left on the belt right above the track, and save the kid. Go back to the lava pool by where you abandoned the cart, and blow it up (or you can hop off the belt by the bottom). Save the next two kids, and the bottom one gives you the blue key. Jump off in the little space where there is no conveyor belt, and you will land on the belt above you (remember the screen wraps on this game). Steal a mine cart (now it's mine :) ), and you should be on the track right above the belt. Go straight, tilt over the lava, go down once, then straight, then quickly jump upwards to the belt. The kid will give you a arrow that points right. Toss a bomb to where the top belt ends to the right, and a door will appear and don't forget the other kid. That leads to wave S7 I think. If you don't take it, then jump down from that conveyor belt and Indy will land on yet another one. Save the kid on top (I landed on him), and the kid below him. Go back up and go to the right and you'll see a lava pool, so just blow it up. Proceed to the right and down and save some more kids (amazing how they're able to feed 'em all :) ), then head towards the door, save yet another kid, and exit. Wave 5: On this level you will see your first bat. Be aware. Anyways, hop down from the ledge on to the kid below. Go back up using the ladder and blow up the spike thingy below Indy by using a bomb. Now go back down and blow up both of the lava pools, or shoot the mask to cross the right one. Either way, go right and up the ladder and save the two kids. Go back and cross the other lava pool and go up the ladder. Save the kid while being careful not to fall on to the slide which leads to lava. Whip the green thingy to make the bat freeze if it's after you. Swing across the lava, go up the ladder, and blow up the lava pool next to Indy. Jump down onto the ledge below to save a kid, and you'll have to swing and go up the ladder again. When you reach the next ladder, you *can* go past the spike thingy by walking past it, but it's difficult. Instead, blow up the spike thingy from the bottom of the ladder, go up, save the kid, then cross the conveyor belts, and at the end of the belt go up the ladder. Save the kid (he'll give you a extra life), and hop off the ledge, then swing across the lava. Save the kid, then jump down. Go left, past the door, and save the kid. Then go right and jump down from where you landed at on to another kid. He'll give you a brown key. Blow up the lava and jump over to the ledge with the kid on it. Blow up the flat part of the wall towards the right of the kid for a gun stash. Jump down and then go back to the part where you had to jump to the ledge with the kid and gun stash on it. It might take a minutes, but you've already been there before. Now go up the conveyor belt. At the end of the Uj UObelt, go down the ladder and save the kid. Go into the mine entrance and immediately jump off. BTW, don't go slowly on the carts on these later levels because grunts will crash into you from behind. Save the kid below you and then proceed left. Save the kid and jump down across the track. Light the oil by whipping it, and watch as the dumb grunts in the mine carts keep on coming by and dying. Anyways, head down and save the kid, then swing across to save the kid under the hook, and swing back to collect the gun he drops. Then swing back again. Head right towards the spikey thingy, and from there, go down a little to where the kid was (there's a empty spot in between belts below where he was). Wait until the belts stop moving, and jump down from there. Immediately head left and save the kid for a extra life. Jump down from there and steal a mine cart. Stay on the same track until you reach a lava pit. Jump off the cart and go left and down, and save the kid you see. Jump off the conveyor belt's rightmost side, and you'll land on another belt. Save the kid on it and go right then save the kid between the two belts for a blue key. Go on the top belt and save another kid, go right some more and get another kid, and jump down on top of the kid on the bottom of the screen. Jump down from there and steal a mine cart and quickly head up to avoid the dead ends in the tracks. At the end of the track, jump out right by the kid above the track, and save him. Don't bother with the gun he drops though. Now go right, down the conveyor belt, and save the kid next to the spike thingy. Bomb the spike thingy. Go back up the belt, to the left, and jump above where you see the kid below the belt. Go left and down the belt, then save the kid. Now go back to where you jumped off the mine cart at, and save the kid to the right, and jump off and save the kid on the bottom. Bomb the spike thingy and save the kid to the right on the belt. Go to where the door is, and go up the belt, then right, and keep on going right until you see a kid. Get him and jump down from where he was on to a belt. Get the two kids you see and head back to where you jumped down from (just a few steps up). Steal a mine cart, follow the track while avoiding lava dead ends, and go through the walking area entrance. Go up the ladder and cross the conveyor belts, then when you get to the slide, go down it and press right. You'll be in front of the door, and now end this long level. Wave 6: You'll start off in the mine. Go on to the belt to your right, then save the 3 kids you see (it won't be a easy task). Save the kid next to the bat repellant. Go right from there, save the kid, and he'll give you a arrow. Go back a little ways to the belt above the track, and jump down. I'll refer to this area as area 1. From there, go left, then jump off the belt with the kid below it, and while falling Indy will collect the kid, and then you'll land on a belt. Go right and save the next kid for a extra life. Get the kid to the bottom left of that kid, and go left. Save that kid and head back right towards the kid with the extra life. Keep going right until you see a kid by a spike thingy. Blow up the spike, collect the kid, swing over the gap, collect the kid. Now, you can either jump down across the Uj UOtrack onto another conveyor belt, or just use a mine cart to hop to the belt over the lava gap. If you do it the first way, then jump down on to another belt. From that belt, shoot the animal skull over the lava gap that is on the belt you just jumped off of. Now, steal a mine cart from the track above Indy so that you can jump back up to the belt above you (steal cart, immediately hop upwards). Now Indy can swing over the lava gap, so swing over it. If you did it the second way, then just hop in a cart and jump upwards after the lava gap. Save the kid to get a blue key! Blow up the spike, go up the belt, then jump down and collect the kid while Indy is falling. Go up the belt again then head left. You will see a kid over a track. Since Indy cannot jump high enough to get him (but almost!), steal a cart and quickly jump out upwards and collect the kid. Now collect the kid below you, go left, and get the kid. Watch out for falling boulders here, because there are two of 'em. Blow up the spike, keep going left for awhile, then you'll end up at area 1. Keep going left, and you'll end up at a lava pit. Don't cross yet, instead hop off the belt while collecting the kid below the belt, go right and collect the two kids, and the bottom one will give you a extra life. Now go back to where that mine exit is, with that long conveyor belt. Steal a mine cart, go up 3 tracks, then at the end of the track, jump off on to the belt below you (it WILL be tricky!). Wait for boulders to stop the belts, collect the kid next to you, and go up the T shaped belt. There is a kid one space to the bottom right of the top belt. To get him, jump from the space above the belt that meets the horizontal belt. You will land on the bottom belt. Jump off onto the belt below. Go back to area 1 to the left. Now steal a cart, go up 3 tracks, tilt over the lava, go up 1 track, then go down 1 track and jump upwards to the 2 kids you see. Collect them. Now go left by the mine exit, steal a cart to go in, then go back in. Go down 1 track, straight, then jump off where you see a kid below a conveyor belt (he'll be below you). Jump onto that belt (while pressing up so you don't fall down too much). Jump down onto the kid, and you'll land on another belt. Another kid will be below this belt you are on. To get him safely, jump down from the right edge of the belt while pressing left. Indy will get stunned from the fall, so immediately press left so Indy doesn't fall in the lava when he comes out of his daze. From here, steal a cart. Go down 1 track, and go straight into the mine exit. You've finally saved all the darn kids in the mine part, now it's the walking part. Get the kid to the right of the ladder right of you, go down the ladder, save the kid, go back up the ladder, go left, then swing over the lava gap. Blow up the lava pit to your left, then go up the ladder. Get the kid and swing over the gap. Go up, up the ladder, save the kid. In the area above the kid by the swinging hook, there is a warp entrance. You just gotta blow up the wall to enter. If you don't enter, then go up the ladder, save the kid to the right, go down the ladder to the right, and save the kid at the bottom of the ladder. Go right, down the ladder, blow up the lava pit, save the kid thats in the lava pit, go up the ladder to the right, then up again. Save the kid to your left, blow up the spike thingy, save the kid there, Uj UOand jump down to the ledge with the kid on it. He'll give you an extra life, then swing over the gap and go up the ladder. Go right and up the ladder, save the kid to the right, go down the ladder, go right, and save that kid. Go right and up the ladder, then left, and save that kid. Go back right, up the ladder, and blow up the small lava pit. Go up the ladder, save the two kids, go right and save the kid by the ladder, keep going right and save the next kid. Go back a little to where the kid was by the ladder, go up, and save that kid for a extra life, then swing over the gap and save the next kid. Jump down, blow up the lava, go right, jump down onto the ledge below, and either swing or blow up the lava to go right. Go up the ladder to save the kid, go down the ladder, left a little, go down that ladder, then jump onto the ledge below with the kid on it. Now blow up the long lava pit using bombs, and cross the lava. To cross it, there will be three lava monsters. To get them stunned so you can walk on their heads, use the gun/knife/bombs to shoot/stab/bomb them when you can see their head. Cross them to get the brown key! Now go down the ladder to the right and save the kid. Blow up the small lava pool to your left, and right before you swing over the gap, toss a bomb to your left to destroy the other lava pool. Swing over, and go down the ladder to save the kid. Go back up, then left, and save the next kid. Go down the ladders until you reach the bat repellant. Go left and enter the mine entrance. Go down, then straight, and go through the mine exit. You will finally find the last kid! Go back in the mine entrance. Go straight and exit. Then go up the ladder, right, up the ladder, right, down the ladder, and exit through the brown door! Wave 7: Go right, get the kid, go up while watching out for the bat, and then left to the spike. Steal a mine cart and go down two tracks and jump off on to the conveyor belt below. Go left, get the two kids, then go right. Go up the belt and hop off to collect the kid right below it. Go right and get the kid on the bottom belt and get the kid on the top one. Swing across the gap and go right. Walk on the top belt and hop off above the kid to collect him, while making sure not to be too close to the lava. Go back to where you landed on by the lava gap. Hop off to get the kid below it but be careful because there is a spike on the bottom. Hop across the spike and get the kid, then hop off that belt to get the kid on the lower belt. He will give you a extra life. Swing across the lava gap and go right, then swing over the next lava gap. Go up, right, and swing again. Get the kid here, then go up the conveyor belt and then left. Steal a mine cart to get the kid right below the conveyor belt on top. Steal another one and take the high track (up). At the end, hop off on to the conveyor belt on top and go right and then up. Get the kid here. He gives you the blue key! Now go upwards a little and steal a mine cart. Go right a tad and jump on to the conveyor belt right above the track with the 3 kids on it. Get the bottom kid, then the middle one, then head right to get another kid. Go up and jump off to the right side to get another kid who gives you a extra life. Go up the belt again and go left to the spike. Jump on to the belt below and jump to reach the kid. Steal a mine cart below you and go down one track, up one track, and down one track then hop off on to the conveyor belt with the kid on it. Hop off this belt on to the belt below the track below you, and head left. Get the kid here and go back right. Steal a mine cart and go down one track, straight, up one track, straight, then hop off on to the conveyor belt right above the track. Go up and left to the spike. Get the two kids below the spike and steal a mine cart again. Keep on going straight and into the walking area. Jump off the platform and toss a bomb into the lava pool to cross it. Go right and then up the ladder. Bomb the lava and get the kid. Go back down the ladder and head right. Go up the next ladder (which goes up, not down) and collect the kid. Bomb the lava above the ladder to go up it. Get the kid here who gives you the brown key! Now go back down the ladder to the conveyor belt. Hop down to the ledge where there is a kid, which is by the leftmost ladder on the bottom. Get him and hop off the ledge. Go left and get the kid. Swing over the gap and go on the left slide thingy. At the bottom, go up the ladder to collect the kid. Go down the ladder and go down the slide thingy and land on the left ledge with the mine entrance on it. Go up the conveyor belt, left, then get the kid here. Jump on to the ledge below it. Go down the slide and get the kid there. Go down the ladder. Hop over the spike, then bomb the lava pool to cross it. Get the kid here and then go left until you see a kid. Get him and go right until you see a ladder. Go up the ladder and get the kid here. Go back down and head all the way left. Under the spike is a ladder. Go down it. At the ledge below it, swing over to get the kid there. Go back up the ladder and swing left. Go left, then swing left again. Go down the conveyor belt. There is a pool of lava to the right side, near the bottom of the conveyor belt. Blow it up. Now keep on going down. At the bottom, go right a little and go up the ladder. Climb all the way up and get the kid by the spike and the one by where you blew up the lava. The kid on the top gives 2 extra lives! Go back down the ladders to the bottom. Go left and go into the brown door to exit the level! Well, that's it so far. I haven't had the time to complete it with school finals coming up and stuff, but if you have any info about this game then email it to me at luisv@mediaone.net . Thanks for reading!
