There were also a couple of inaccuracies that needed correcting. Enjoy! February 6, 2006 - V.5 The FAQ has been started, but I don't have nearly all the questions and answers done. I don't know of any way to find out how many questions there are total, so I'm not sure how many I have to go. Work on this FAQ will continue. =============================================================================== 1) Introduction Welcome. I was taking a look through the NES FAQ Completion website and noticed there wasn't a FAQ available for this game, so I figured what the hell, I'll write one. Eventually this FAQ will contain the answer to every question in the game, but thus far I only have around one-hundred. Updates will soon follow. The latest version of this FAQ can always be found on my website at: http://smackdown.myrmid.com/smackdown/faqs/remotecontrolfaq.txt If you have any comments or contributions feel free to email me at twitchyx@gmail.com . I'll be happy to answer any questions I can and you will receive credit for any contributions you make. As always, this FAQ is entirely the property of it's owner and is copyright twitch 2006. Unlike many FAQ authors, I encourage you to put this FAQ on your site if you wish! Feel free to copy and upload it anywhere you want AS LONG AS you do NOT alter it in anyway, shape or form nor remove my name from the top. Bottom line, you can put my FAQ wherever you want, just don't forget who it came from! Finally, if you want to read more of my FAQS or anything else I've written, please visit my NES website at: NES SMACKDOWN GT http://smackdown.myrmid.com Thanks, and enjoy the FAQ! =============================================================================== 2) Overview and Gameplay This game is based off the 1980's MTV gameshow Remote Control. I myself have never seen the show, but it seems to have somewhat of a loyal following. It is, after all, where Adam Sandler got his start in show business. The game itself is pretty mundane. You can either play by yourself against two computer controlled opponents, or with a friend and one computer controlled opponent. The "AI" in this game is pretty bad, so beating the computer players is rarely challenging. They usually won't ring in before you, and generally only one of them will make any attempt at playing the game. The other will just sit there quietly, only answering if both you and the other computer controlled player select a wrong answer. Even then they seem to have trouble deciding on an answer. Must be all that damn MTV! Most of the questions revolve around 60's, 70's and 80's pop culture, so if you're not from the era (like me) you probably won't be able to answer many of them. The controls are ridiculously simple, being that this is a trivia game. B BUTTON - Rings in the buzzer. You have five seconds after the buzzer to select an answer. Be advised, you won't be able to ring in until the question has been completely read. A BUTTON - Selects an answer. I know that's alot to remember, but try and do your best. You have nine channels to choose from on the TV, each corresponding to a different category of questions. After about fifteen questions the first round will end and there will be a brief snack/commercial break. Popcorn falls from the ceiling on to the contestants. Don't worry, I don't get it either. Next you're on to the second round, where all points are doubled. Once again, about fifteen questions will be read, but this time the person with the lowest score will be eliminated. The remaining contestants will square off in the lightning round, in which the host will the replace words in various movie and TV titles with random words and you'll have to guess which word that was replaced. That's pretty much it! =============================================================================== 3) Questions and Answers This is a growing list of the answers to the trivia questions asked in the game. I am working hard to cover every answer, but it will take time as there seem to be a lot of them. I suggest using CTRL+F and typing in keywords to search for the question you're stuck on. If you wanna help out and send me some questions/answers I'd greatly appreciate it! You will get credit for any contributions.
